Post Meta

The Post Meta widget displays important metadata for a post, such as the author name, post date, categories, tags, and comments. It provides flexible control to add or remove specific meta items, while offering styling options for both free and Pro versions. This helps improve post structure, SEO, and reader engagement.

How to Use

  1. Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → BlogNews → Site Builder.
  2. Open or create a Single Post template using Elementor.
  3. From the BlogNews widgets panel, drag and drop the Post Meta widget into the desired section (commonly below the post title or featured image).
  4. Configure the content settings to choose which meta items to display.
  5. Apply styling controls to customize author image, typography, spacing, and colors.
  6. Save and publish the template.

Content Settings

  • Meta Options — Add or remove meta items such as author, date, categories, tags, and comments.
    • Lite Version → Maximum 3 meta items can be displayed.
    • Pro Version → All available meta options can be displayed without limit.
  • Alignment — Align meta information to Left, Center, or Right.

Styling Controls

  • Author Image Settings — Customize author image size, border, border-radius, hover effect, and box shadow.
  • Meta Settings — Control spacing (gap between meta items), text color, icon color, and typography (font family, size, weight, and letter spacing).

Pro Tip

  • Keep meta details concise by showing only essential information like author and date.
