The Archive Post widget in BlogNews for Elementor allows displaying posts dynamically from WordPress archives, such as categories, tags, authors, or date-based archives.
It helps create attractive blog layouts that update automatically based on archive pages, making it ideal for news, magazine, and blog websites.
How to Use
- Go to the WordPress Dashboard → Pages (or edit a template in Site Builder).
- Open the page with Elementor Editor.
- Drag and drop the Archive Post widget from the BlogNews widget panel.
- The widget will automatically fetch posts from the current archive page.
Content Settings
The Archive Post widget offers several options to customize post display:
- Post Query → Control layout style, number of posts, excerpt length, post order, category style(Only Pro Version), and title length.
- Post Settings → Set columns, column gap, toggle featured image, adjust image resolution, enable/disable category icon, post content, and meta options.
- Search Query Settings → Choose whether to include specific post types in search results.
- Button → Customize button title, select an icon, adjust icon position, and define icon gap.
- Pagination → Select pagination style: none, number, number with dots, number with prev/next, or number with dots + prev/next. Alignment controls are also available.
Styling Controls
Styling options allow full design flexibility for archive posts:
- Blog Style → Control overall container styling.
- Category → Customize category label colors, typography, and spacing.
- Image → Style image size, border radius, spacing, and overlays.
- Title → Adjust typography, color, hover color, spacing, and alignment.
- Metas → Style author, date, comments, and other metadata.
- Excerpt → Customize typography, color, spacing, and length display.
- Button → Full control over background, color, typography, border, padding, margin, hover effects.
- Button Icon → Style icon size, color, spacing, and hover color.
- Pagination → Customize typography, spacing, colors, active/hover states, and alignment.
- Nothing Found Setting → Style the message displayed when no posts match the archive query.
Pro Tip
- For a magazine-like archive page, use grid layouts with 3–4 columns.
