Post Categories

The Post Categories widget dynamically displays the categories assigned to a single post. It helps readers quickly identify the type of content and improves site navigation. The widget can be styled to match the site’s design and positioned anywhere within a single post template.

How to Use

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → BlogNews → Site Builder.
  2. Open or create a Single Post template using Elementor.
  3. From the BlogNews widgets panel, drag and drop the Post Categories widget into the desired section (commonly above or below the post title).
  4. Adjust category alignment and display preferences.
  5. Style the categories using the available controls, then Save and Publish the template.

Content Settings

  • Alignment — Align categories to Left, Center, Right, or Justify.
  • Category Icon (Pro Version) — Option to display an icon before category names.
  • Category Styles (Pro Version) — Access additional style presets for category display.

Styling Controls

  • Text Color — Set normal and hover colors for category text.
  • Typography — Customize font family, size, weight, and letter spacing.
  • Background Color — Apply background colors for category labels.
  • Border & Radius — Style category labels with borders and rounded edges.
  • Padding & Margin(Pro Version) — Adjust spacing inside and around category labels.

Pro Tip

  • Highlighting categories above the post title is a great way to catch reader attention and improve engagement.
