The Post Author widget displays information about the post’s author, including their name, image, and description.
This helps build trust with readers, gives proper credit to writers, and adds a professional touch to your blog or magazine site.
You can customize alignment, text style, and the overall author box design for a clean look.
How to Use
- Go to your Elementor editor, where you are designing the Single Post Template.
- Search for “Post Author” in the widget panel.
- Drag and drop the widget into your layout.
- Adjust the content settings to control what information is shown and how it’s aligned.
- Use the styling controls to design the author box, image, and text to match your site’s theme.
Content Settings
- Show “By” Author Toggle → Show or hide the text “By” before the author’s name.
- Image Position → Choose where the author’s image appears (left, right, top, or bottom).
- Vertical Alignment → Align content vertically (top, middle, bottom).
- Alignment → Align the whole author box (left, center, right).
- Text Alignment → Control alignment of text within the author box (left, center, right).
Styling Controls
- Author Box → Background color, border, padding, margin, box shadow.
- Image → Size, border, border radius, spacing, and hover effects.
- Name → Typography, font size, color, letter spacing, hover color.
- Description → Typography, color, margin, spacing for the author bio
Pro Tip
- Use the “By Author” toggle if your site publishes multiple authors for added credibility.
