Express Post

The Express Post widget is an overlay-based featured design that displays a large post with the title, category, meta, and excerpt layered over the post image. It’s best for visually striking content, hero sections, or highlighting a single important story.

How to Use

  1. Drag and drop the Express Post widget into a section.
  2. Configure the Post Query (same as Feature Post) to select layout style, number of posts, categories/tags, excerpt length, order, and title length.
  3. Adjust Post Settings to control visibility of images, categories, meta, and excerpts.
  4. Use Styling Controls to customize overlay background, typography, spacing, and hover animations.

Content Settings

  • Post Query → Layout style (style 1, 2, etc.), number of posts, filter by category & tags, excerpt length, order by, order, category style, title length (in lines).
  • Post Settings → Column space, row space, show/hide image, image resolution, show/hide small image, show author, show avatar, show small author, show small avatar, show category, show small category, category icon, show date, show small date, show comments, show small comments.

Styling Controls

  • Post Style → Background color, border, radius, padding, margin, shadow.
  • Small Post Style → Layout spacing, border, background, hover effects.
  • Image Style → Width, height, border, radius, hover effect.
  • Category Style → Typography, color, hover color, background, padding.
  • Title Style → Typography, color, hover color, margin.
  • Meta Style → Typography, color, icon color, spacing.
  • Small Meta Style → Typography, color, spacing for compact posts.
  • Excerpt Style → Typography, color, margin.

Pro Tip

  • Use dark overlays with light typography for maximum readability
