The Post Archive Template Builder in Ansar Elements allows you to create custom archive pages visually using Elementor. Instead of using the default WordPress archive layout, you can design category, tag, author, date, or search archive pages with custom layouts and widgets.
How to Create a Post Archive Template
Step 1: Open Site Builder
From your WordPress Dashboard, go to:
Ansar Elements → Theme Builder
Then select the Post Archive tab.
Step 2: Create a New Template
Click Create Template.
You can configure the following settings:
- Template Title – Give your archive template a unique name.
- Status Option – Draft, Pending Review, Private, or Published.
Step 3: Setup Archive Preview
To display demo archive content inside Elementor:
- Open Post Settings (gear icon).
- Expand Preview Settings.
- From Preview Dynamic Content as, select Archive.
- Choose an archive type:
- Category
- Tag
- Author
- Date
- Search Result
Step 4: Edit with Elementor
Use Elementor and Ansar Elements widgets to design the archive page, such as:
- Post Grid
- Category Title
- Post Filters
- Ads Banner
- Featured Posts
Styling Options
You can fully customize the archive layout using Elementor controls:
- Layout Controls: Grid, list, or mixed layouts
- Box Styling: Background, padding, margin, border, shadow
- Typography: Customize archive titles, post titles, meta, and excerpts
- Responsive Controls: Adjust layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
Publish the Template
Once your design is complete:
- Click Publish
- Set your display conditions
- Save changes
Your custom archive template will now be active on your website.
